Picton is located at the top of the South Island of New Zealand.
The Villa is centrally located in the township of Picton – just 300 metres from the ferry, 100 metres from the railway station, town centre, the beach and waterfront .
It is the starting point for all travellers arriving off the ferry departing from Wellington in the North Island.
You arrive in Picton in the South Island from Wellington by ferry , by road from Christchurch and Kaikoura, West Coast and Nelson through Blenheim.
Picton is also the starting point for The Queen Charlotte Walking Track.

- This is the most popular walk in Picton. Enjoy walking from Picton Town Center along a peninsular extending out into the Marlbrough Sounds. It takes about 4.5 hours to complete the entire walk and return to Picton.
This ten-minute walk yields history and views, with a track that passes earthworks of a historic Māori pa site on its way to a stunning view of Queen Charlotte Sound.
Head toward Port Underwood from Picton to find the Karaka Point car park.
The Link Pathway is a 42km walking and cycling trail between Picton and Havelock, and linking to the end of the Queen Charlotte Track in Marlborough with some sections yet to be completed.
Take in the impressive views of the Marlborough Sounds and native bush.
